Food Safety Culture and Food Safety Management are very important to the working process of institutional nutrition, and their precise alignment at the operational level is essential for success. An interdisciplinary team involved in food safety is a key element for the implemented food safety culture, but also its important factor in all business segments through food safety business management.
The institution implemented the HACCP system, 2007, before it became a legal obligation for all subjects in the food business, and by gradually introducing other norms, we systematically apply the established standard and quality of our business as proof to all interested parties that our services and work process are in accordance with all the requirements prescribed by international norms and legislation.
Daily action according to the principle arising from the Food Quality and Safety Management System - HACCP, Quality Management ISO 9001:2015, Waste Management System ISO 14001:2015 and Health and Safety Management System ISO 45001:2018, aims to provide our citizens in need of social protection with healthy, nutritionally sufficient, high-quality and safe meals and services. Special focus is placed on system stability, process efficiency and strengthening employee responsibility at all levels of the business within the framework of an integrated management approach. HACCP

HAZARD ANALYSIS AND CRITICAL CONTROL POINTS (HACCP) is a method based on prevention, as a guarantee of food safety, from primary production to the end consumer through the identification, assessment and control of significant food hazards.
Its basic feature is that it is a set of preventive and corrective measures in the technological process, that is, it is a system that identifies possible hazards (biological, chemical, physical) that can affect food safety and the steps in the process in which it is possible to implement measures to control these hazards. This system is very important for every public catering facility where food is prepared and served and ultimately delivered, as well as in the daily work of our Institution, in order to protect the health of its users.
The HACCP system at DOBRI DOM functions as an integral part of an integrated management system, with an emphasis on practical application and personal responsibility of employees in everyday activities. Activities are focused on monitoring the implementation of control measures, maintaining process stability, and continuously strengthening the Food Safety Culture and Food Safety Management through work, communication, and example in practice.
The transformation from the phase of system establishment and integration to the phase of operational maturity defines the integrated management system into a functionally applicable tool in everyday work and provides a stable basis for further growth and development in accordance with the needs of the institution and external requirements.

In the area of quality management, emphasis is placed on daily monitoring of process efficiency in practice. The focus is on consistent application of existing procedures, monitoring of performance indicators and analysis of deviations. The data obtained are used to improve work organization, more even distribution of resources and better quality control of services in all work processes aimed at implementing social services to citizens in need.

In December 2018, an environmental management system according to the ISO 14001:2015 standard was introduced into the Institution's business process. For this purpose, the Rules of Procedure for the Integrated Quality, Food Safety, Environment, Health and Safety Management System were developed as a fundamental document for implementing the Institution's business policy.
The Institution bases its environmental management policy on the principles of environmental protection while respecting the obligation to comply with legal and other requirements. The implementation of the ISO 14001:2015 standard is proof of the Institution's environmental awareness and commitment to environmental protection through proper waste sorting, prevention of all types of pollution, rational use of energy consumption, and elimination or reduction to acceptable limits of risks to the health of employees and other stakeholders. The environmental management system is further strengthened through operational monitoring of environmental impacts, with an emphasis on climate change and long-term sustainability.
Daily activities are focused on monitoring resource and waste consumption, with an analysis of the impact of identified environmental aspects. The system is used as a tool for planning and implementing measures to adapt to environmental challenges, and not solely as a formal requirement.

Since December 2019, the Institution has been implementing the ISO 45001:2015 standard in its work process, which enables the harmonization and application of the assessment of the effectiveness of occupational health and safety. As a result of harmonization and application of the process of measuring the effectiveness of occupational health and safety, the number of injuries and accidents in the field of occupational health and safety is reduced, as well as the associated costs. At the same time, care for its employees is promoted.
The purpose of this management system is to provide a framework for managing risks and opportunities in the field of occupational health and safety. The goal and expected outcomes of the system are to prevent occupational injuries and illnesses of workers and to provide a safe and healthy working environment, and consequently it is important for the institution to eliminate hazards and reduce risks by taking effective preventive and protective measures. When these measures are applied by the institution through the management system, they improve or enhance the effectiveness of occupational health and safety. The implemented occupational health and safety management system allows DOBRI DOM to manage its risks and improve its effectiveness. In the area of occupational health and safety, the emphasis is on prevention and strengthening employee awareness. The activities resulting from this norm also refer to the recognition of risks in daily work tasks and the timely application of protective measures. Special attention is paid to the consistent application of defined procedures, communication about risks and responsibilities, and strengthening the culture of safe work.
