The institution "Duga – Zagreb" Home for Children and Adults Victims of Domestic Violence celebrated 20 years of successful operation, confirming its key role in providing safe support to the most vulnerable members of society.
The ceremony was attended by the Mayor of the City of Zagreb Tomislav Tomašević, Deputy Mayor Danijela Dolenec, and the Head of the City Office for Social Protection, Health, Veterans and Persons with Disabilities Lora Vidović, and Deputy Romana Galić. The Director Župan attended the ceremony on behalf of the Good Home, at the invitation of the Director of Duga.
Founded by the City of Zagreb, the "Duga – Zagreb" Home is the first social welfare home that provides shelter services for victims of violence, and which was founded by a local government unit. During two decades of operation, the institution has provided a safe haven for numerous victims of domestic violence, offering them not only accommodation, but also professional support through counseling and psychosocial treatments.
The celebration of this important anniversary serves as a reminder of the necessity of a systematic and continuous fight against domestic violence and the need to ensure a safe future for all victims.
For the past 20 years, Dom Duga-Zagreb and DOBRI DOM have been working very closely and successfully in the form of daily preparation and distribution of hot meals to the beneficiaries of "Duga".
We sincerely and wholeheartedly congratulate all the employees of the "Duga-Zagreb" Home on their 20th anniversary of existence and valuable work.
