The City of Zagreb marked Civil Protection Day with an educational program at Bundek.

At Zagreb’s Bundek Lake, on Saturday, February 28, International Civil Protection Day and Civil Protection Day of the Republic of Croatia were marked with a public event during which citizens had the opportunity to learn first-hand about the work of the operational forces of the civil protection system and further prepare for possible emergency situations. The program included a range of educational, informative, and interactive activities for all age groups, with a special emphasis on strengthening community safety and resilience.

The event was attended by the Deputy Mayor of the City of Zagreb and Head of the Civil Protection Headquarters of the City of Zagreb, Luka Korlaet, who expressed his gratitude to all members of the civil protection system for their daily contribution to citizens’ safety. He emphasized that the City of Zagreb continuously invests in improving the civil protection system, highlighting that the material rights and working conditions of the Public Fire Brigade have been significantly enhanced, with its budget doubled compared to 2021.

As part of the event organization, DOBRI DOM actively contributed by preparing and distributing more than 600 meals of barley bean stew with sausage, pork neck, and bacon, as well as coffee and tea for all active members of the civil protection services and for the citizens of the City of Zagreb who attended the event.
