Civil Protection Day marked with rescue exercise on Bundek with the participation of the Institution of the City of Zagreb DOBRI DOM!

The International Civil Protection Day and the Civil Protection Day of the Republic of Croatia were marked 1st of March on Bundek in order to raise citizens' awareness of the numerous risks and correct patterns of behavior in disasters as the basis for prevention, and to provide citizens with first-hand information about the work of operational forces and prepare for possible emergencies.

The event was supported by the Mayor of the City of Zagreb Tomislav Tomašević and Deputy Mayor Luka Korlaet, also the Chief of the Civil Protection Headquarters of the City of Zagreb. They congratulated all members of the Civil Protection of the City of Zagreb and the whole of Croatia on their day, and thanked them for the time and effort invested in their work for the benefit of the community.

The rescue exercise "Bundek Med 2025" was held on Bundek, in which the participants demonstrated a high level of readiness and efficiency. In addition to the field exercise, educational, informative and interactive content was organized for visitors. Citizens thus had the opportunity to participate in various activities and education to better understand the importance of preparing for emergencies and strengthening community resilience.

In addition to the organizers, the City of Zagreb and the Civil Protection Directorate of the Ministry of the Interior, the Zagreb Police Department, the Zagreb HGSS station, the Zagreb City Red Cross Society, the Zagreb Fire Department, the Zagreb Public Fire Department, the "Dr. Andrija Štampar" Public Health Teaching Institute, the Zagreb Emergency Medicine Teaching Institute, the Zagreb Civil Protection Service and the Institution of the City of Zagreb DOBRI DOM participated in the celebration.

For several years now, DOBRI DOM has been cooperating, through the preparation and distribution of hot meals, with the relevant city services during the training of Civil Protection members and during exercises.
