In the Lauba - House for People and Art, the awarding of contracts to pensioner associations for the Call for Proposals “Strengthening the capacities of civil society organizations for the implementation of active aging programs (SF.3.4.08.06/ESF+)”
Awarding of contracts to beneficiaries of the Call for Proposals “Strengthening the capacities of civil society organizations for the implementation of active aging programs (SF.3.4.08.06/ESF+)”

It was attended by the principal Župan at the invitation of the Office for Cooperation with NGOs of the Government of the Republic of Croatia and the National Foundation for the Development of Civil Society. A total of 83 projects worth €22,533,057.37 were contracted within the framework of the Call, with 85% of the funds being provided from the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+), while the remaining part was financed from national sources.

The awarded contracts will enable the implementation of projects aimed at strengthening civil society organizations operating in the field of active aging, with the aim of improving the quality of life and social inclusion of older people and pensioners. Through a series of educational, advisory, social and preventive activities, older people will be enabled to acquire and upgrade knowledge and skills in the field of media and IT literacy, especially in the context of protection against financial fraud and adaptation to accelerated digitalization processes.

Special emphasis is placed on strengthening the sense of belonging to the community and preventing social isolation. The programs will also include the organization of various social, sports and recreational activities aimed at preserving vitality and strengthening the social, emotional, cognitive and motor abilities of older people. In addition, users will be able to access individual counseling from experts in the fields of law, nutrition, mental health and other relevant areas, with the aim of further improving the quality of life.

Part of the activities will also relate to the establishment of information corners through which older people and pensioners will be able to obtain relevant information, professional support and guidelines for exercising their rights and accessing services available in the local community in one place.which was also attended by the principal Župan at the invitation of the Office for Cooperation with NGOs of the Government of the Republic of Croatia and the National Foundation for the Development of Civil Society.
